A Cultural Misunderstanding ... I guess.
Here's one, I was on the phone resetting my password for the college email where I teach part-time. I guess I got a little testy with the person assigned to help me-it really was hard to understand him.
As we went forward there was a "challenge question" used to gain access to my account. It read: What was the name of your school mascot? I replied in a terse voice, "Indian." (Mahopac, NY High School).
He replied, somewhat indignantly, "Excuse me."
But at the end of this session we had a good laugh and got the job done. True Story. 😀
