     By now, Ruby is no stranger to Gold’s visits. She’s slowly, painstakingly learned how to simply grin and bear them, keep her head down and hold her tongue while he practically STEALS from Granny like clockwork. Still, the way Neal reacts to him is... odd, even to her. What reason does he have to so carefully avoid someone he doesn’t even know -- especially when Mr. Gold, strangely enough, seems to glance his way every other second? It’s not until the door slams shut behind him that the boy seems to even breathe again.

     “Hey, are you alright?” Ruby crosses the space between them the second Gold’s gone, resting a hand on the boy’s arm. “Gold can be... a lot, I know.” She offers up a smile then, small but sincere. “But you know, if it’s any help? Most of Storybrooke doesn’t really like him much either.”

Not Alone

Belle walked back from the town line with tears in her eyes. This was horrible, but she had no choice. He had hurt her too much. He gave into darkness, and she gave him too many chances. What he was doing with her and this dagger was the last straw. She thought married life would have been different.

At that moment, she realized she had to tell Baelfire. Hopefully, he would understand her reasons. She walked into Granny’s with the hope that he might be in there. It was a good first place to look since he might be at his room. Nervously, she walked up the stairs and stared at his room. She must be right. He would understand. She took a deep breath and knocked at the door.
