Yeah, I can’t really give a fair appraisal because I’m so everywhere with it. It feels slow (sedate may be a better word), particularly put up against the rush to run and kill and quest of say WoW or CoX. But that’s exactly what I need right now, as it turns out. Whatever else, if it helps keep me from just sitting here and staring blankly at a computer monitor or the wall (really, I spaced out for like twenty minutes the other day staring at a chunk of wall), then it’ll be worth the money.

Thanks! ^_^  Since everyone already knows what happens next, I figured the best I could do was add some interesting character details along the way. As for any typos... I'm afraid too much polishing has dulled my editorial eye for this story, but I'll try rereading it in a few days when it isn't so fresh in my mind and see if I can pick them out. 

I suppose I did leave it on a note that made it sound like a cliffhanger... Although, since this is a one-shot, missing-scene fic that was never meant to be continued, the only future events are in the episodes it precedes. (Since I've answered for myself the questions I started out with, I figure there's really nowhere else I can take the story. ^^;)

I read up on the update yesterday so I knew what was coming and how it worked, but I did get a good laugh at "You'll see" followed by the "I see". Even the button sounded done with everything.
