thank you :D!!
en-o'clock episode 56 !

I imagine that Narrator used to be infected by the Lovebug, but over time, he gained immunity due to him getting used to the bug. Now, he only has the skin and still retain his normal self.
this is actually a pretty interesting idea. also hilarious to imagine that like. he got infected once, for a single day, and BAM it went away again except he got a new item like it was an event quest reward ahhfkakdkd ;;
... actually i like that a lot. he went "ew feelings" and the feelings just vanished into thin air while also giving him an immunity boost. fantastic tbh, i'm very proud.

So your character has a sword!
GENIUS, might I preface. I applaud your tastes, fair reader.
Here's tips for your Character with Pointy Stick and its Derivatives:
-
Remember the kind of sword you're giving the character and what kind of character you're giving it to.
A more agile and lithe shadowy thief-y type? A shorter, more nimble and easier to keep concealed and at the ready for a sudden draw than something like, say, a longsword.
Mayhaps a dagger, mayhaps something a tad longer, it's up to you.
Their movements will be quicker, lethal and unpredictable, but they lose in a direct conflict against something like a sword and shield.
A rogue or an Assassin must keep light, and their gear reflects this, keep that in mind.
Unless the rogue is especially attached to a weapon or has nicked it off a poor sods unfortunate corpse, it most likely will be simple, effective and easier to replace. Engravings would be a waste on a weapon such as this, but slight accessories wouldn't be out of place for a sense of individuality.
Or, say, a more knight-ly inclined type, eh?
A knight can afford better blades and much better access to maintenance tools for arms and armor, and this reflects their gear.
The sword will most likely be a typical sword, average length and paired well with a shield, but works fine enough in one hand in a pinch.
An especially well off knight could afford an embellished and engraved weapon with gaudy decorations and such. A lesser so one could still expect a reasonable quality blade.
Their strikes are more trained and honeed, a soldier's style, but more recognizable and predictable after one learns their tricks.
Or, mayhaps, a mercenary more inclined to a heavier yet still agile blade.
Something like a bastard sword, with a broader, longer and thicker blade, but not so much as to be cumbersome.
Able to be used in both one and both hands, one must not underestimate the versatility and effectiveness of a bastard sword in an experienced mercenary's hand.
A bastard sword has powerful strikes owing to the bigger blade, and still retains some of the agility of a shortsword whilst retaining the range advantage of a longsword.
It does nothing spectacularly, per say, but does many many things very very well, and it's all the better off for it.
A mercenary's style will be less predictable, trained with a company rather than a standard soldier's army, but none the less experienced for it. Be on your guard for tricks the less honor inclined mercenary would pull as opposed to the staunchly duty driven knight.
Their strikes are honed well with constant practice and tested well in battle, but it all depends on the one wielding the weapon. Their gear will be well maintained and of passable quality, and reliable.
A mercenary can afford some minor embellishing, but not nearly as much as a noble knight. Still, there's much room for individuality outside of the army's strict regulations where one operates under their own codes.
What I am long windedly saying is:
A character's background, motivations, and, well, character and circumstances will dictate what blade they'll pick up and what blade they'll discard. Take these all into consideration when designing your character, and keep them well in mind for future reference.
Don't go giving your thieves giant two handed broadswords and don't go giving your heavily armed and armored knight a short little dagger barely longer than a thimble (Outside of comedic purposes, of course).
This has been Bucket, signing off.
vinculum /vĭng′kyə-ləm/
noun
A bar drawn over two or more algebraic terms to indicate that they are to be treated as a single term.
Wowza, he's gonna mess us up on purpose ain't he?
What an aloof little gremlin.
