I've been desperate to visit brutalism lovers' paradise Rowley Way on the Alexandra Road Estate for a few years now. @kimnicolephotography and I finally visited to get snap happy, and I was glad we won't the only people there with cameras. Designed by Neave Brown in 1968 and complete by '78, this Grade II listed council estate is a wonderful example of how to design high density housing that people actually want to live in. Every property has its own outdoor space, and the rear of the building acts as a sound barrier for the trains that run parallel to the flats.
