Yo I'm going to word vomit some un-asked for hair coloring advice. First off, do it, wild colored hair is amazing. Second, I wouldn't dye your hair darker in the hopes that it will fade to a specific shade. Hair color rarely fades in an even or predictable way. For example, my hair that was bleached, toned, and dyed all the the same purple shade always fades to white along my temple, aqua in the middle, pink at the crown of my head, and white where my natural highlights were pre-bleaching. 1/2

2/2 You’re much better off dyeing it the color you want it to be, and touching it up every couple weeks. Just switching how you wash your hair (in cold water vs. hot) can really change how long your hair will stay a bright color. There are even some dyes like manic panic that you can mix into your normal conditioner and will boost the color as you go. Sorry for all the info - I really love dyeing hair!

A friend actually suggested ManicPanic for color(tbh I’d thing BadBoy Blue would work but they said Mermaid), but another suggested Ion. Now I’m not sure who to listen because its 2v1 now

Are you planning on dying your hair for Neptune yourself or going to a salon to get it done? In either case -- aqua's a tricky color (because it can so easily go green) so make sure to get all the yellow toned out of your hair first -- I had a bad experience where I was impatient with bleaching process and put the blue over my yellow/orange bleached hair. I ended up with seaweed hair. Whoops!

probably a salon, and ive seen enough youtubers like Markiplier and Syndicate go get their hair bleached then dyed. hopfully the people at the salon know what their doing xD
