hello fellow totally-not-sunhat anon!!! i've been thinking about this one for a bit.... here are a few for your reading enjoyment.... but first! some initial things i'd like to get out of the way
★ Going along with the base the creators of motm have given us on Cuphead and intimacy, he struggles a Lot with being affectionate On Purpose
▪︎ I swear he's trying his best okay! but when he's Aware of what he's doing he immediately feels very uncomfortable and wants to hide away, Most of his affectionate gestures with others are subconscious and entirely unintentional, he just does what feels right to him at the moment!
▪︎ Boris (bless his poor heart) doesn't push Cuphead and only does what he is comfortable with! even if it bothers Cuphead sometimes that he asks so many questions, in the end he has all his wants met by his very diligent wolf boyfriend!! also seen in one of my comics : )
★ This doesn't mean he doesn't Try to, of course it's all within his abilities and comfort, he prefers acts of service over physical touch!
▪︎ Doesn't make a whole ton of sense in text... but even if he's comfortable Initiating touch, it doesn't necessarily mean he's okay with Others doing it to him, it's something that's still a bit new to him!
▪︎ Doing things for others when they want something done is clearer, he feels his most comfortable when he has a clear 'mission', explains why he's so thorough too! he won't quit until what was asked of him is covered 100%, no half-assing from him!!
★ His love language from favorite to least favorite (to me) would be: Acts of Service > Quality Time > Gifting > Words of Affirmation > Physical Touch
★ As for Boris... our beloved wolf... physical touch and acts of service are probably tied for first place! He loves tending and fetching things for his partner!!
▪︎ Physical touch is probably a little spooky (new) for him... he's been percieved as scary his whole life and Bendy isn't the most Physical guy around ya know... but Boris is a very big fan of it!
▪︎ He's also just shy ❤️ ok he's a big and shy fella, he'd get embarrassed probably and back off, but with some time and treats...
★ Even if he doesn't talk a whole lot, he loves being around his partner plenty! and can give some pretty insightful feedback if you ask : ) but only if you ask!! you have to pry it out of him!!
▪︎ Sometimes he second guesses himself and decides to just not say anything, he doesn't do it to be mean! he's just not sure if him giving any input is appropriate sometimes!
▪︎ You have to take quite a bit of initiative with him i think, he'll take a bit to crack open and have him start speaking all on his own, but i'm sure someone stubborn and annoying enough can do it! (slowly fading in image of cuphead)
★ Boris' scale of love language (to me) goes a bit like this!: Physical Touch AND Acts of Service > Quality Time > Words of Affirmation > Gifting
OK. OK LONG INTRO. ONTO WHAT THE FUCK ARE THEY GONNA DO ON VALENTINE'S DAY.
★ Cuphead would go out of his way to find Boris' very specific fav snack and drink and anything in between, he thought about writing a little note too (courtesy of Mugman) but when he sat down to do it he just kind of . Froze up . trying to put into words how much Boris means to him, so he just didnt
★ Boris would love to go somewhere, anywhere really, just Somewhere and experience things with his favorite cup!!! He likes seeing his reaction to new things,,. Cup would genuinely bring up gambling and was instantly shot down
★ They're both not huge on public displays of affection.... it lowkirkenuinely icks cuphead the fuck out, he's more okay with it around friends! and perfectly chill in private. Boris is genuinely too shy to be doing allat anyway
▪︎ The MOST that Boris will do is rest his head on Cups' head or grab his handle when he's about to run into upcoming traffic or something, but he never does abt of it without asking first
▪︎ In the early stages of their relationship Cuphead would genuinely get a little irked at the questioning too cuz why did he have to ask? so much? but he's come to appreciate it a lot
★ They'd probably land in a little carnival and Cuphead would (be trying to) show off like crazy, nd any prize he gets he just kinda gives to Boris cuz he's not huge on little trinkets
★ Ofc pupcup is never truly complete if Cuphead isnt ragebaiting that wolf in any way he can, Boris is happy to be here i swear
★ Cuphead lowkey gets insanely flustered and shuts down completely when Boris does any kind of advance on him, as small as it may be cuz! what! me? jumps in the air clicks my shoes together!! jumps into the nearest pit!!!
▪︎ Boris just looking at Cuphead very fondly completely silent as the other is talking and Cuphead's cup bubbles over
★ He doesn't realise the effect he has on Boris though!! that cup is just built flirty in general and Boris' poor little heart can barely take it!!!!!
★ They'd end up at some cute viewing spot at dawn and Cuphead gets a small glimpse of Boris leaning on a railing (he's totally pooped from all that walking around and he's Definitely a bit sweaty but its okay) and god he looks so terrible and he cant help but comment on it
but his chest feels like its about to explode from love at the way Boris just pouts at him with that fond look in his eye, too tired and content to even try and put up a fight at all and for a moment, they can just relish in this for what it is
no need for any more words or proclamations of love, in the end they just need the other by their side
i think they'd have a pretty nice day!
