Anyway, I like to think that the in-universe reason why Siruby goes "We're stuck!", when there's a platform directly over her head which her gun can activate, is less because she doesn't know until that moment that she can aim her gun in a direction other than horizontally directly in front of herself, and more that it didn't occur to her to look up, so she didn't notice that the platform was there in the first place. This of course means that Necom was being slightly more of a passive-aggressive little shit by saying "hey you can aim your gun up :D"
