i actually enjoyed it overall! like it was all very tropey but in a way i mostly enjoyed and my only big complaint is that the main character is just so overwhelmingly unlikeable that it made certain scenes with him hard to watch.

headcanon meme: draco malfoy + picky eating

My headcanon is that I am an excellent Draco Malfoy, and I am a picky eater, therefore in this essay I will –

Nah actually I have never thought about Draco as a picky eater before this ask, but now that it’s in my head, I can imagine this particular sort of image of him. Like, I imagine he’d be picky in the sort of way where it’s all brushed off as ‘refined tastes,’ and he doesn’t think he’s picky at all, because I definitely think of him as well-fed and raised on gourmet, of course, plus he’s always getting sweets from home, et cetera, so he probably thinks he’s a robust eater. But all the same whenever he encounters something unfamiliar or foreign or prepared in the wrong way (ie, not how they make it at home) it becomes reproachable to him, and he can’t tolerate it. He frames it as the food being inferior and him having superior taste buds. If someone tried to feed him a hamburger he’d probably react like Ron around spiders.

Additionally, I imagine his tastes dwindle and diminish starting around sixth year when he becomes utterly socially isolated and depressed during his quest for Voldemort. Everything starts tasting like watery celery or pale gruel and he can’t summon an appetite. That probably impacts him so heavily that for years after his appetite and taste ranges are significantly shrunken and he remains on the edge of underfed for quite a while.

yea thats p much the plan. its not like i had anything in particular planned re sharing it. its just wild how ages ago i first started putting together worldbuilding ideas for a medical dystopia and now its like. oh.

i honestly have no words to express the exhaustion i have at somehow managing to get embroiled in a controversy in the less than 10 days since ive had this blog, so can i please just answer this once and once only:

hellenistic polytheism is an existent practice today and i have no desire to disrespect that or delegitimize it as a faith

i can find, so far, zero sources condemning the use of greek gods as names from said faith, although i did find a lot of people whose neighbors or sisters had greek god/dess names

the moniker nix is a nickname borrowed from a dnd character and is also a german word meaning nothing; nyx or nox is the night goddess and has no relation

iacchus is an old nickname which is both/either the name of a greek god and/or a noun referring to a type of song

neither of these are my name, they are just convenient nicknames, and i couldnt honestly give less of a fuck if anyone uses them

if your religious beliefs find it problematic to call people after names that have also been used in hellenistic polytheism, then dont call me that

i do not care if you dont want to use them and am fine with you not doing so

i have no interest in furthering this discussion into a federal fucking issue; i am not invested

im ready to end this convo and move on now please, thanks, bye
