The situation was getting worse. Within his own reach, he had one witch that gave him information about what was going on behind closed doors of the nearby coven. The Mercury coven had grown stronger over the last decade, combining some unknown connection of the living with the dead to grow further. At least that was what he was told, if this was the truth, was very open. Marius never trusted anyone, not a soul. Why would he start now? He was always staying in the background, fully aware that a creature like him, was on the most wanted list of any witch. A vampire-witch, it was against nature, to even exist. Somehow they seemed to know he was there, maybe one of them had located him, felt his own strong aura, or maybe there was a connection to his own past he didn't remember. He had no clue where his roots were, it didn't even matter, they were nothing of interest for the hybrid. All he wanted was to get rid of this lingering danger - especially Adrian, his strongest and most ruthless alter, didn't allow him to move on with his life just like that. That alter was the one that was fighting the strongest for his life, and maybe also the smartest.
It was Adrian who figured out that while he would be able to kill a few of them, it wouldn't help him getting rid of the actual danger that was going so much further. He needed someone who was able to disconnect that flowing energy that went beyond his own reach. No matter how hard he would try to learn any of this forbidden magic, he wasn't capabale of that. A little detail that annoyed him even further.
Wednesday evening. After some research he had found a possibile solution. For now, Marius had to be the one in charge, knowing he was a little less rude and could play along better to get something. Not everyone was easy to impress, or did what he said - unfortunately. He was basically following rumours and some leads that were at least promising enough to get out there to a smaller bar where he should be able to find a certain person.
Half an hour later, he stood at that bar, a hand around the half empty glass of a random drink, simple vodka. He was trying to stretch out his senses, see how the energy was flowing, feel the differences of humans, of other creatures around him. It was like vibrations he could sense. And there, finally. A deeper humming. Blue eyes glanced around - ah there. Instead of observing the unknown male any longer, he approached him. Maybe a little bit bluntly, but that was just his style. "Good evening. Don't mind me to interrupt - but I have an offer for you, which I'm certain, you won't be able to resist - " it sounded like such a line from a movie. And there, for a very short second, the way those vibrations echoed from that man, they warmed up, flickered, and that irritating warmth? It was odd, very odd, it vanished again immediately.
