#selfreflection is my favorite part of self work! #selfreflect #selfcorrect! My Journey of being a self-aware creature is not just what's benefiting or effecting just me! It's being aware of how all my thoughts wants and actions are beneficial to the world.. I've said I was a servant to the world long before I fully understood what that means! I just knew what I felt and no matter how low the world seem to push me to get me away from that it never seem to be that powerful of me and at those times i never felt more powerful in myself. I just figured I had to be down there too meet somebody I gusss i can say i never took it personal!! #inlovewithlife #needingpeople #lovepeople #lovingpeople #selfwork is #selflove!!!!
So last week I wrote a piece about defining our own self-worth instead of letting others define us. That’s something I struggle with. It’s so easy to fall into the roles people place us in, or pick up the labels that are unconsciously put on us. It’s so easy to lean on others when we feel weak, or unintentially give them power over us when we don’t feel strong.
But the problem with becoming too dependent on others is that we give them too much of ourselves. We let them start to decide who we are and what we should do. And we begin to change, for the wrong reasons.
I guess this is just my little note to remind you that yes, it’s okay to lean on others. But it’s also okay, and healthy, to find the strength within yourself to rise.
Ask for help, of course! But also know that this is your fight, and when you rely on yourself, you give yourself wings, instead of letting others clip them.
