first two finished pages of my sumerian god themed needlebook. The river page was the first one I had completed (probably over two years ago!), but then I decided at the very end to add reeds growing beside the river, so it’s also the last page I completed.

the full page spread of the river & fish is for Enki, ​​the wheat is half of Innana’s spread, and the horned crown pedestal represents Anu

All six of my finished pages for my Sumerian god needlebook. Only the top three will be two-page spreads; the bottom three will make up the first and last pages (the horned crowns) and then the wheat and Inanna's star will be a two-page spread, and the lamp and the reed stylus will be another.

The Gods represented (in approximate order as shown) are Enki/Ea, Utu/Shamash, Nanna/Sin, Ninhursaga/Ninmah (& Ki if you like), Gula, An/Anu, Innana/Ishtar, Nuska/Nusku, Enlil and Nabu (or Nidaba).

I still have to stitch the cover decoration, and then do some complicated (for me) assembly, but this is a big step in completing this project!
