Elevating into Eternity . Needle Tower II (1969) is a monumental sculpture by artist Kenneth Snelson, located at the Kröller Müller Museum in Otterlo (the Netherlands). It consists of a number of metal beams and cables that are assembled in a very ingenious way, using a mathematic balance between the powers of gravity, stretch and pressure. Every time I look at it I am enchanted by its geometric beauty that actually seems to transcend the very laws of nature it uses. .
