"Hey Jesse? You in here? I've been looking for you all day! You missed your medbay appointment!" It's clear the doctor is calling from the hall, not quite sure where the cowboy could be.

“H-Hino?” he called, looking at the door and struggling against his restraints. “I’m in here!” he called, although his voice was thick and rough with need.

The Forest

It was a cool evening night out in the woods as a full moon beamed from above the man’s head, he always found the moon to be a fascinating object in his eyes but he also dread when it was on it’s full cycle. Jesse McCree, a well known gunslinger and mercenary for hire, had a secret that only few knew of and he did his best to keep it that way. Every month for one night he would roam into the woods to hide himself from any civilization so no one would be around to see him shift once the night came, he had became used to shifting and found places to hide his clothing to come back to it once he could turn back to a human in the morning. Quietly the man would glance about the woods to verify no other person was around, keeping his poncho on his body as he stripped his clothing off and folded it quickly only to hide it as his back cracked with a loud pop as his limbs twisted and snapped into place as he began to shift quickly into a rather large dire wolf sized creature. He had became accustomed to the pain it brought and with how fast his body healed itself he simply shrugged it off anymore, the sounds of popping faded from the empty woods as he stood up at his full height to stretch out his changed limbs. Quickly he’d drop down onto all fours and shake himself some to run off towards a small body of water he was rather familiar with so he could lay down next to it to lay down and relax so the long night could begin, rolling on his back some before stretching out in a sprawled position to close his eyes and snooze for a while as the faint sound of frogs croaked in the distance or deer roaming for food near by.

"No, you did not-" Halfway the jedi trick, he froze and pulled banana back up. Hinoka playing along was unexpected, but welcomed. "Oh yeah? Think twice. I can do more with this, than you can imagine..." He slowly walks around in irregular pattern, steadily aiming the banana at her.

That dumb childlish play has one huge upside - he needs a lot of precision and control to not squash the fruit. A nicer way to check prosthetics calibration.

Jesse leaned on his hand slightly as he watched her speak up with a small smile on her face as well, it felt real and that was enough for him to stop mentally kicking himself in the ass. However he could see how exhuasted she really was now and he couldn’t help but feel the same, it seemed neither of them had a proper wink of sleep.

Her last remark caught him off guard and he found himself chuckling a little, shaking his head a little as he grabbed a fork to finally take a bite of food before speaking up again. “I mean, I don’t know bout all that but I know some things. But I am glad we were able ta talk bout it I just.. I would of been a wreck all day an I’m sure ya would too.” Jesse chuckled a little again as he leaned back in his chair to relax himself from stressing so much, he felt so tense but with a good meal and coffee he was sure he’d be wide awake all over again.

“Let’s enjoy the meal before it goes cold yeah? Then we can get the day started, or hell, even a nap.”

"I am no mere orc," Sigma stated. Though, while he would have kept his guard entirely up with any other demon, he relaxed his hold on his weapon. It was slight, far more so than the calm of the hunters behind him.

He merely had elected not to banish or slay this creature outright. He could have cast a command or banish spell on this creature as any warlock worth their salt was capable of, but...something was stopping him and he had not yet realized this was the case. It was rare that he encountered an unbound demon of this caliber.

"They failed to bind you, I see. Disappointing," he noticed, giving a glance at his apprentice, who might find themselves being a former apprentice soon. Being as entranced as they were, that wasn’t going to something they would care even the slightest about... Entranced...  

"Unfortunately for you, I am in no mood to strike deals with demons today." The words were accompanied by a renewed ferocity, the grip on his staf tightening once more, angered eyes fixing onto the demon. These beasts had a way of affecting people, but he had studied them. Unlike his hunters, he had a measure of resolve.

Even so, he didn’t attack, betraying that his words carried no finality. Not yet, at least. The fire between the demon and the apprentice was enough in his eyes to keep the idiot safe, for a time.

“I promise if I do somethin’ it wont be in ya view, I don’t want you hurt or upset but if it comes down ta it.. I’ve killed many folk in the past, of course, only bad ones. I don’t believe in the actual innocent bein’ harmed.” He frowned a little at the idea, he never liked having to hurt people unless they deserved it. Hell, he usually avoided killing people if he could get away with it but sometimes you had to do what you had to do.

Jesse’s frown slowly rose up into a smile though when she finally hugged him back, letting out a soft content sigh as he teasingly lifted her off the ground to give her a bear hug of sorts. “Well, ya got me now an yer gonna have ta get real used ta it darlin’. I’m a bit of a protective kind, a pack leader I suppose. I protect my pack no matter what, it’s somethin’ I can’t help honestly I feel it’s literally in my blood ta do that.”
