I was just reading one of Neil Gaiman's books the other day, and I was reminded of your writing, the creativity of the plot and the sort of humor you find in the dialogue and just the story in general. I also read in your FAQs that you're also inspired by him? Anyway I definitely see it. There are actually very few authors whose writing I consider Very Good, and you've managed to be part of that list. I can't wait to read your original works. Okay. That's all. Bye.
Two authors I hold in incredibly high regard have referred to my original work in one way or another as “Gaiman-esque,” and I have to tell you, it really is the height of compliments. I mean on the one hand Neil Gaiman is basically the fantasy author, so part of me is convinced they only say that because he’s kind of an easy reach if they’re searching for a comparison in the genre, but that’s when I’m being cynical. Really, I admire his work so much, and to register on even the same plane of ability is utterly mindblowing. There’s no one I would rather be compared to, and I’m just flabbergasted all over again that you think this. Thank you!
