Hi, I've always been interested in becoming a bartender and making drinks, unfortunately I have to wait two more years until I can actually apply for it. I was just wondering how you went about getting the job that you have and how you learnt to make the drinks. Did you have previous experience or did somebody at the work place teach you?
Honestly I just needed a job n got one at a place where the owners happened 2 own a bar and a restaurant that’s also a nigthclub friday to sunday lmao. I didn’t even have to submit a resume or anything, so i’m very lucky. I did not have any previous bar experience, and everything i’ve learnt are things i’ve either read up on myself or learnt by getting an order and being forced to ask my co-workers wtf i’m supposed 2 make lmao. Also by just..tasting stuff. I think the most important thing is to just be interested in bartending and try to be as quick of a learner as possible - since it’s such a fast paced job. It’s a lot of fun - I really love it.
