After many years and obstacles, when that girl made her way back to the surface due to the gods’ mercy, she never thought that she would be forced to see another FAREWELL so soon. Ueda Castle was gone and the people whom she remembered were no longer there. There were news that Sanada Yukimura and his Braves had fallen in battle against Tokugawa and there were some rumors their fall was final, no longer being of this world.
She did not know if what they said was true. She also did not know if this was what should have been expected. Was she FOOLISH to believe that she could come back to see Yu-chan, greeting her with a smile and sweets while patting her on the head? Or to see Hanzo, giving her troves of information of the world and beyond? Those two who bickered with one another yet grew to love each other all the same. This foolish, young girl who clung onto those memories... was it all futile? Perhaps it had been so. Yu-chan left, only saying goodbye to her, and the aftermath of that event washed over Hanzo and Isanami like a cold wave. Isanami had been certain back then, too, that he was more hurt than he let on.
Ah, this was no good. She mourned the disappearance of her home but she would not lament the departure of her friends. They were still alive, they had to be, and she refused to believe that anyone was... GONE. So she did her part, to work her way back up from nothing; it was a good thing that there were still some old faces in Ueda to help her with a start, but it was always her dancing that saved people. To get the money so she could begin to travel in search of her friends. But also?
Her feelings. Her desire. Her name. The people she was looking for, if the news of the return of Ueda’s dancing priestess could reach any of them, she would be CONTENT with that as well.
