I really do think that the torturous nature of boredom stems from our knowledge of our own mortality; I wouldn't mind spending the day spacing out, doing pretty much nothing at all, if I didn't know that the clock was ticking, and that someday, I would run out of time to do the things I could be doing now. The only way to conquer boredom is to not fear death.

Damn college papers needing peer reviewed sources in order to get any credit. Like I get the rationale behind it, and it’s certainly important in a higher academic setting so it’s good to start people in that habit, but damn, the resources are woefully inadequate and I’m not stepping over paywalls myself for a one-off. Forget it. So to tie your entire grade on the assignment to that? Not a fan.
