Why the fuck are there so many negative posts about this chapter?! Listen, I know zekis have had to endure their fair share of angst, but enough is enough! Why are we always like this?

It frustrates me.
Thank you for shooting down what little hope I have in society.
Thank you for thinking that nothing will change and wanting nothing to change.
Thank you for "bursting my bubble".
I support the Kony 2012 movement.
PEOPLE WEREN'T DOING ANYTHING ABOUT IT TWENTY YEARS AGO BECAUSE NO ONE NEW ABOUT IT TWENTY YEARS AGO.
Why aren't you, helping to save the pygmy hippopotamus? Oh, that's right, BECAUSE HARDLY ANYONE KNOWS THAT THEY ARE ENDANGERED, LET ALONE OF THEIR EXITSTENCE.
Oh, you don't think the whole Cover the Night thing will work? We'll all get arrested for vandalism? THEN DON'T PUT YOUR CRAP ON ANYTHING THAT CAN BE CONSIDERED VANDALISM. BETTER YET, DON'T PUT ANYTHING ANYWHERE.
I get so frustrated with people who shoot down people's hopes of doing something profound. But at the same time, everyone wants to leave their mark on this earth. Everyone wants to make a difference. This Kony thing is some people's way of making a difference, so please, if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.
with the voices of many individuals, comes an interesting predicament...
initially this post was going to be all about how much i'm incredibly saddened by the fact that people on tumblr (or the internet in general, what have you) are actually bashing others for reblogging Kony2012 information just to look like they have a heart.
i will slightly address this in saying this:
IF YOU'RE NOT GOING TO FIGHT FOR SOMETHING NOW, WHEN EXACTLY IS THE TIME? will you wait for Rawanda to happen again? the holocaust? the lives lost in revolutions like in Libiya or in Syria? WHERE IS THERE A LINE? when will enough be enough for this generation?
the important thing out of this conversation, both positive and negative, is that people are TALKING about Kony2012. people are discussing the actions of their peers and joining the cause.
however persistence in the effort is key, and that's where much of the battle could be lost.
the naysayers may think that by degrading this movement and its efforts they are deteriorating the voices that speak behind it. honey, i think you didn't realize this but your voice is drawing attention to Kony. this is what the movement wanted to accomplish. thanks for talking about it, though! it's spreading the word that 2011's Occupy Movement was just the beginning of a revolution of want to make change for the people by the people. 2012 is the year to make Kony infamous, and by wagging that negative tongue around you're helping us do it :P
Aghh...so sick of Twilight/Harry Potter comparisons. They are completely different stories. No need to hate Twilighters :P
