That scanner is the best thing that has been given to me in forever. It's like unearthing buried memories. There are faces I haven't seen in over twenty years. Places I forgot I went. Like that abandoned house I posted. I have only scanned 10 films at this point. It takes forever even on low quality but wow. It's insane. There are photos I have never seen in my whole life because I just never printed them in class. I never printed a whole roll of black and white bc paper has always been expensive, so I am literally rediscovering my old film photographs. Not only that but now I can shoot in film and not worry about printing. I can just develop and scan. No worries about not having a dark room. I can't wait to go through everything. I figured I will low scan everything and then when I have the best of the best picked out, then do the super high dpi scans. This goes up to 9600 dpi. I've never even heard of that. No idea how big I can even print with that. Normal printers use 600 dpi. So I'm pretty impressed. Like I said, best thing ever to happen to me as a photographer. Anyways, I need to go to bed. I'm tired as hell. I'll be posting the cool stuff I find, little by little. #canon9000fmark2 #negativescanner
