This is Negro Bar, a place along the American River. Negro Bar once was a mining camp. The camp was inhabited by mostly African Americans. Now, the entire area that once was Negro Bar sits underneath Lake Natoma. Lake Natoma was formed after the building of the Nimbus Dam.
Negro Bar is such a beautiful area. I'm so lucky that it's so close to my dad's house. About a twenty minute bike ride there.
