Burgruine Reußenstein und Neidlingen, Baden-Württenberg by Bilderschreiber
The swabian alb is where Im from. On Graces birthday we went down for a long weekend and did loads of hiking. One of my alltime favorites is the 20km round from Hepsisau via the ridge to the ruins of Reussenstein. The hike features a beautiful valley, meadows full of juniper berries, green pastures with curious cows, lush forests, steep rocks and beautiful orchards. With so many vies the hike never gets boring. In Neidlingen we had a toast to the local Maibaum on the Hocketse and visited the marble mill - beautiful stone marbles are made from local rock by the power of the local creek.
If you havent decided where to spend your holidays this year maybe consider this gem in the heart of europe.
