He's clingier than usual, his hugs are tighter. Every now and then he'd recall what he saw, adding how everyone was batshit insane, how bodies were everywhere, and how that "doctor" Trager cut hacked his digits off.

"I miss my fingers." He remarked, sarcastic.

But amidst all the trauma he got from that hellhole of an asylum, you made him forget the pain. Murkoff was definitely gonna be on his trail but you felt like a respite from all his worries, a distraction from the thought.

Would take pictures of you, videos too. Writes the dates behind the pictures and occasionally writes stuff on it

Miles seethes everytime he sees you talking to another guy, muttering insults under his breath. Why do you need those pricks anyway?

He has a cork board dedicated to pictures of you. There are tangled red threads connecting one photograph to another, like a road for him.

Takes notes of every little thing you do. Pastimes you do at a specific time, which places you go to, when you go outside, etc.

Would follow you everywhere, he prefers to keep a distance but enough so that he can see you good.

You get emails from time to time. brief, cryptic, and demanding orders for you not to talk to anyone or get with anyone, it creeps you out knowing you have not a single idea on who would send these.

If it ever came to abducting you, he wouldn't want to get physical with you, simply pulling out a gun and telling to you come with him would do the job.

Or blackmailing perhaps. Maybe you have a cherished loved one? He'll threaten to hurt them if you don't comply with his orders.

You're bound to a chair, restrained with rope and silenced by tape. It takes miles a while until he trusts you to finally have freedom over you limbs. After all, you look prettier.

If it takes you being in the basement forever, so be it, he treats you fine anyway. Right?

You and miles celebrating the new year. You both sit on the hood of his jeep, his arm around you. the setting is quiet, intimate. and when you look up? the sky is wide open with no obstructions. Fireworks explode simultaneously, each one more colorful than the last one. he stares in awe at the explosions, pointing out the cool-looking ones. He pulls you towards him, finding comfort in you as you both watch the show in the sky.

Simcoe watches readers every move with no subtlety. He'd get some of his rangers to lurk behind you, and when you'd confront him about it?

"To make sure you're not up to something."

You obviously get pissed off. what nerve does this man have? it's not like you're aiding the Patriots with intelligence.

Simcoe would just barge into your house at times, checking every room, ignoring your flaming self as he continued to "check" for anything suspicious. and when he turns to you as you ask him one more time why he was here?

"I have reasons to suspect you."

But it's not suspecting isn't it? there was a lingering feeling in your mind telling you it wasn't, but you brushed it off.

I like to think Miles is very unlucky when it comes to animals like every time he tries to approach them something bad just happens out of it

Cats: Everytime he picks up a stray cat it purrs in his arms for a second then just starts scratching his eyes out and bolts off.

Dogs: Miles would just walk in the park and he'd see a dog standing nearby. you'd think he'd feel nice after deciding to throw the dog some food? well it actually bites his foot as he approaches him and does so until the journalist just runs away.

Birds: Miles wouldn't interact with birds much as he finds them pretty boring. Though he'd be in traffic and then a bird just shits on his window which makes him lose it.
