She was just singing the song and I’m sure almost EVERYONE else was also saying. I’ll admit, even I say it because you can’t bleep it out or it messes up the whole song. It also slips out because you are so used to hearing it, and then when you are in the moment you keep singing the song. I think people need to get over it and leave her alone since it was obvious it was a mistake.

That’s a very good point.

Personally, I don’t think white people should ever say the n-word, but if you knowingly ask a white person to sing a song that contains the n-word, then what the hell do you expect to happen?

Did you notice on Dev’s video about Osana the comments were disabled? I have seen how people treat and talk about him in his comments, and oh my freak they are so disrespectful and rude. They constantly attack him (not all of course) and demand he do things that they want. Example, remember when he was testing out the LoveSick mode? People were attacking him so severely it was unreal. I am so livid about this.

Honestly, it kinda baffles me how Yandere Simulator managed to gain such a volatile fanbase. There are so many people who are clearly outside of the game’s target demographic, yet somehow believe that the game should be catered to them specifically.

True. But either way, I think they are overreacting. I understand that they may get uncomfortable, but that is what filtering tags are for. I have even seen an anti say they will bully someone because it harms CSA survivors. Like bro, I am an emotional and physical abuse survivor and yall just taking stuff too seriously.

Honestly though. And I’m no therapist, but them getting so worked up over the existence of these fics is probably just doing more harm than good for them. It can’t be healthy to constantly expose yourself to upsetting (thing) so often that you make a blog dedicated to harassing writers/artists of the thing. But antis do exactly that, and it’s frankly concerning. If it truly upsets them so much, surely it’s healthier to ignore/avoid it, right? I don’t understand why they jump into the fray in some vain attempt to crusade against it.

I’m thirteen and people think I’m at least eighteen, so I get into movies all the time without being questioned. It is kinda annoying though because people charge me for being an adult and I don’t know about other people’s movie theaters, but mine is like 15 for a kid and 25 for an adult. I still think it is bad they don’t try and ID me though.

Yeah see? Happens in the reverse too. Some people look younger than their age, some people look older than their age.

The opposite happens for me, a few times the ticker person will charge me a child ticket without even asking. But being charged an adult ticket when you can still get a kid’s ticket? For sure more irritating, sorry you have to deal with that. D: They should totally be ID-ing you

Sorry to be spamming you with all this Free! drama, but I’m coming back. Someone said that Free! has no plot, and is all just fan service (I think it was on s@afeanimes profile because a lot of people started talking about it). Keeping it spoiler free, I don’t understand how you can think that. The fan service which is the close up body shots of muscle or body (but not them being shirtless in general) in my definition, it is very minimal and you don’t really see any of it.

The person who said Free! has no plot and is all fan service obviously never watched the show.

Free! has plot. It’s a slice of life so it’s a little slow moving. But to say it’s “all just fan service” is a blatant lie. The fanservice is minimal. The plot and character growth certainly takes up most of the show.

Like honestly, good luck in their quest to find only the Most Pure Anime. Nothing is going to be 100% Unproblematic. Sometimes you gotta weigh the pros and cons and just ignore the few cons for the more numerous pros. Blacklisting a whole anime because of some minor slightly problematic thing is no way to live. :\

I just found this Free! post (which it is old but I don't care) and it makes me regret joining the fandom. It may seem childish for this one post, but I have been seeing more and more of the fandom's true colors. I have uncovered a lot of bad stuff and I know it is their opinion, but I swear some of these people are insane. But I have a question, do you know what happened to the makoharu "fandom"? Apparently, something had happened and they blamed it on the studio.

Yeah kinda. idk the details, but I know some of the basics of what happened. 

Back in like... late 2015, some Makoharu fans sent Kyoani a gift basket/box type thing. It was a collection of letters and art, mainly focused on Makoharu, thanking Kyoani for Free! Something like that.

A short time after that, some Rinharu shippers did the same thing, sent Kyoani a thank you gift of similar items but focused on Rinharu.

After getting the Rinharu gift, Kyoani publicly thanked the fandom for its support on twitter. They specifically posted photos of only Rinharu gift items, but not of the Makoharu gifts. 

Because of that, some Makoharu shippers got very jealous and accused Kyoani of being biased or something. 

This is where I’m not sure how badly it escalated. Idk if they were just tweeting their hate at Kyoani or what exactly happened. I did not have a twitter account at the time, and I was busy with work when this all went down so I wasn’t up to date on the latest shipping drama. And from what little I heard, as a Makoharu shipper, I was very embarrassed at the behavior of shippers, so I wanted to just... not know what was going on lol, ignorance is bliss. I do remember being salty that people were using this to generalize all Makoharu shippers though, but I was mostly disappointed in how Makoharu shippers behaved.

Just to reassure you, that was a small group of shippers being babies. While most Makoharu shippers were a little upset they didn’t get recognition for their gift box, most were really disgusted with the actions of these few and we didn’t condone it. Just like with all ships, there are both lovely people and jerks, unfortunately :\
