(tag as nellw pls) so this boy at school likes me (my friend told me) and hes part of our friend group, she said hes going to confess to the person who he likes but i dont have any feelings at all for him but I don't get feelings fir anyone until i get to know how they are like personality wise. ive been thinking that i will either tell him im not interested but I also think about telling him that we should talk more to see but i dont want too givs false hope or anything like that :/

I’m sorry to hear that this is going on! If you don’t have feelings for him, it’s totally okay to tell him that. He might be upset, but eventually he would get over it and move on. There’s nothing wrong with not wanting to wait and see if you end up developing feelings for him.
It’s also okay if you decide to tell him that it takes a while to figure out if you like someone. If you’re worried about stringing him along, you could explain that you have to get to know someone before there’s any chance of liking them. That way he would be able to decide if he wants to wait it out and you wouldn’t have to feel bad if you find that you’re not interested in him. Besides, maybe you two will get to know each other and you’ll find that you do like him. You never know what could happen!
No matter what, know that it’s not your fault if you don’t end up liking him! You don’t owe him anything and, like I mentioned before, eventually he’ll find a way to move on. Just do whatever it is that will make you the happiest!
