I'm a pre-law student and want to work in Constitutional law cases in the future (specifically first and fourteenth amendment cases) and so she's my patron of sorts. My issue is whether or not I should syncretize her with Astraia, or even how I should relate the two. Astraia is also the constellation Virgo and Dike is Libra, but the two are so similar, I'm a little bit at a loss.

She was frequently associated with/syncretized with Dike (also with Nemesis). Both are daughters of Themis, the goddess of divine law and justice. I think it’s mildly important here to throw out the reminder that @accusativeofexclamation gave me today that syncretizing doesn’t necessarily equal melding them into the same being, simply that they overlap and could be worshiped in similar manners for similar reasons. 

I lean more towards Dike than Astraea because Dike was always described as being on the front lines of bringing about justice and punishing the unjust. I tend to sync her more with Nemesis than Astraea but they are both entirely valid routes. 

My advice is always do div to see what They will accept. :D I hope this helps~

This is going to sound like the tacked-on tail end of a medicine commercial, but here they are: Do not call on Nemesis if you live in such a condition that  the Greek values (moderation, self-awareness, hospitality, and so on) do not agree with you or synthesize at least somewhat well with your behavior. If you have good reasons for defying these expectations you might be excused; if you have your own moral code which doesn't strictly go against this and you follow it, then you're probably fine. If you've made some sort of major transgression against "what is right" that you have never received your comeuppance for, do not call on Nemesis. If you have made a recent transgression, do not call on Nemesis. If you've ever made an incredibly serious transgression (like, say, killing a guest in his bed), then never, ever call on Nemesis. Do not operate heavy machinery while on Nemesis. That last part was a joke.

Nemesis, swift-winged justice! Nemesis, fleet-footed vengeance! Hear me now. I have lived morally, not in decay, but in vigor; I have lived well, obeying the gods.
