There’s a lot of Buzz going around about Tumblr dying right now (as it does now and again) people are talking about bluesky and another platform I haven’t heard of. You know what I say?
NEOCITIES
like i’m not even joking (ok I am half joking for various reasons) none of those other platforms have the “””spirit””” (curse?) of tumblr. Neocities is basically a platform to build your own website. People take a very “old school” approach (no fancy frame works just HTML. CSS and maybe JS) and it’s completely personalised. Like browsing it awakened an old memory: “oh THIS is how it used to be” we forgot that we can have our own little space that is entirely within our control. Seriously I would encourage anyone to check it out. Even if you have no website making knowledge it’s very easy to get something basic up and running
