Not only was Cold War American foreign policy not 'anti-communist,' but it proactively supported certain types of Leftism that could be utilized in its fight against what might more accurately be regarded as Russian national-collectivism, starting from the assumption of power of Stalin and ending with the assumption to power of Gorbachev.

Today’s world is far from the Paradise Marx and Engels predicted. However, Marx's theories have not lost their relevance. How will we fulfill his original design? As the preceding communiques have shown, the Revolution will not destroy the earth itself. Rather, the Revolution will allow class conscious humans to live on it. When the Revolution comes, what will conditions on earth be like?

Global government

Soon, when the dictatorship of the proletariat exercises authority over all mankind, the earth will become a happy place where people can live together in harmony and do good and satisfying work. The proletariat has appointed the communist party to rule over the earth. Unlike so many rulers today, the party will have the interests of the proletariat at heart. Party rulership will be based on love, and will be a kind, merciful, and fair vanguard.​—State and Revolution 11:4.

International unity

The earth’s new human society will not be divided by nationality or ethnicity. Mankind will be one united people. (Communist Manifesto 7:9, 10) All humans living on earth will love their fellow worker, and they will cooperate peacefully to accomplish a shared purpose of taking care of their home, the earth.​—1844 Manuscripts, 115:16.

Harmony with the natural environment

When communism takes charge of the earth, the communist party will take full control of all aspects of the weather, keeping it in perfect balance. (What is to be Done 24:1, 2) Under communist rule, no one will have any reason to fear natural disasters. Communism will also restore the original harmony between nature and humans.​—Left Communism: An Infantile Disorder 2:18.

Perfect health and abundant food

Everybody will enjoy perfect health. No one will become ill, grow old, or die. (Manifesto 35:5, 6) People will enjoy a beautiful and clean environment like the ones prior to industrialization. In the new world, just as in pre-colonial turtle island, the ground will produce food in abundance and all inhabitants of the earth will have plenty. (Capital I 2:9) Like in the Iroquois confederacy, everyone under communism will “eat [their] bread to satisfaction.”​—Capital II 26:4, 5.

Real peace and security

Under communism, all people will enjoy peace and will treat one another kindly and fairly. There will be no wars, no abuse of power, and no need to struggle for basic needs. Capital promises: “They will sit, each one under his vine and under his fig tree, and no one will make them afraid.”​—Capital I 4:3, 4.

Ample housing and satisfying work

Every family will have a home without fear of being displaced by gentrification, and all the work that we do will be rewarding. As Capital says, those living under communism “will not toil for nothing,” or in vain.​—Capital I 65:21-23.

The best education

Capital promises: “The earth will certainly be filled with the knowledge of the world.” (Capital I 11:9) Members of the new human society will learn from the infinite wisdom of the earth, and about the beautiful things in nature. They will not use their knowledge to build weapons or to harm other humans. (Manifesto 2:4) Instead, they will learn how to live in peace with one another and how to care for the earth.​—Manifesto 37:11.

Unending life

The Vanguard party took great care to prepare the earth so that we can enjoy life to the full each day. We intend for humans to live on earth forever. (State & Rev 37:29; WISTBD 45:18) To fulfill our original purpose, humanity “will swallow up death forever.” (WISTBD 25:8) “Death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore,” Capital promises. (Capital 21:4) the Revolution will give all humans​—both those whom it saves when it destroys this wicked world and the countless dead ones we will resurrect in the coming new world—​the opportunity to live forever.​—Manifesto 5:28, 29; Combat Liberalism 24:15.

Even now, millions worldwide are preparing for mankind’s new beginning so near at hand. Although imperfect, they are already trying to be the kind of people we would want in his new world. How? By learning about communism and building the vanguard party.​—State & Rev 17:3.

The oddly named ‘neoconservative’ movement is neither ‘new’ nor ‘conservative’. It is warmed over Whig Liberalism and Wilsonian democratic-internationalism. This ideology was adopted by ex-Trotskyites and other disaffected Marxists who hated the USSR under Stalinism to the extent that they joined the ranks of the USA during the Cold War in organisations such as the Congress for Cultural Freedom, and the subsequent National Endowment for Democracy, founded by Trotskyites of the Shachtman faction. Even Sedova, Trotsky’s widow, became a Cold War zealot against the USSR.

We charge that a cabal of polemicists and public officials seek to ensnare our country in a series of wars that are not in America’s interests. We charge them with colluding with Israel to ignite those wars and destroy the Oslo Accords. We charge them with deliberately damaging U.S. relations with every state in the Arab world that defies Israel or supports the Palestinian people’s right to a homeland of their own. We charge that they have alienated friends and allies all over the Islamic and Western world through their arrogance, hubris, and bellicosity.

Western Enlightenment-liberal-secularist ideology, or even a bizarre mixture of both, augmented with an Israel First foreign policy. As Dr. Saleam noted, opposition to the incursions of ‘Islamism’ in Western nations, that is to say, the Wahhabism promoted by the USA’s Saudi ally, and rejected by the supposed rogue states, Iran and Syria, should be differentiated from foreign policy entanglements in support of Israel, and the century of Western-imposed chaos that has caused the migrant crisis.
