there was one where a person analyzed the names of the free! characters and someone corrected them bc the only character they got right was rei and it's like on the one hand if ur practicing japanese by reading the names of the characters like yay good for u im proud of u like i was just happy i could figure out which pixiv tag was haruka's bc i recognized the kanji for "nana" in nanase which is 101 shit but o well i was proud
but like.. unless ur 100% sure about a translation its kind of dangerous to make posts like that bc it can come across as ignorant too i guess but 99% of ppl wont be able to tell and information that isn't actually true will spread around the fandom and idk that's kind of frustrating for ppl who know better
