World Heroes Perfect - Console Fighting Games of 1995
World Heroes Perfect (1995) is the final and most polished entry in ADK’s time‑traveling fighting series, bringing back all sixteen fighters from previous games for one last, definitive tournament. Built on the Neo Geo hardware, it refines the series’ trademark mix of historical, mythical, and pop‑culture‑inspired characters — from Hattori Hanzo and Rasputin to Joan of Arc and J. Carn — all battling across stages set in Earth’s past and future.
This instalment introduces several new mechanics that elevate the gameplay. A revamped four‑button attack system gives players more control and flexibility, while a new Power Bar grants character‑specific abilities and enhanced techniques. The game also adds new arenas, three secret characters (including one entirely new to the series), and smoother animation and controls compared to earlier entries. With its colorful roster, fast pacing, and refined mechanics, World Heroes Perfect stands as the series’ most complete and competitive version — a fitting finale to ADK’s quirky, beloved franchise.
