That's ok! I walked into a fabric store with a picture of Neo like 'whatamIdoing'. I'm 100% not an expert but for the fabric I went for Drill Cotton both for the pink lining and main white. It's a fabric with nice weight but there's next to no give with it so if you use it be prepared to make a FITTED jacket. Grab a jacket you own that fits you snugly and use that as a base pattern. I drew and re drew the pattern on newspaper for mine until it looked right. If you don't have a dressmakers mannequin get someone to help you pin and re-pin the basic jacket to yourself to get a fit you like- and if you have any other questions or if I can help in any way just fire me a PM love~
