Meet the Artist: @nepeteaa

I'm Bird Warde, a queer illustrator and hobby naturalist from New England. My art is inspired by my love of nature, especially birds!  I spend most of my time drawing, birding, and running my online shop Camp Mustelid with my partner. We make outdoorsy-themed goodies and apparel featuring all your favorite flora and fauna! Thanks for checking out my work!

Not that you really need to answer mod but I saw you promote lesser known artists and I was just curious. Is there any mid-pop artists that were actually good to commission or buy from in your opinion? Like well known to have good quality art but aren’t assholes about it?

Uhhh I'd say scpkid cuz they don't go around selling for 1,000, but theyre a big popfur so.

Vhsdruid is really sweet, their designs are cute and their style is very charming and sweet.

11n makes funky little creatures, and they're genuinely a very kind person

Babezord makes gorgeous art and doesn't make adopts almost ever, but their etsy shop is 100% worth a look, their stickers are fucking RAD

Nepeteaa <33 just designs such cuties

Eedeath makes such gross little freaks but in a sexy fun way

Pkio, very fun dragons, very kind human

All these folks are in fact not assholes, and from my interactions with them have been really sweet. Their art is also banger and you should give them love.

Decided to try out a Draw This in Your Style challenge from @nepeteaa! Since their half was very warm toned, I decide to contrast it with a cool toned half. ​ Lined with Sakura Graphic and Tombow Fudenosuke pens. Colored with Winsor and Newton watercolors.
