Part one of a DnD party commission that I’ve been hired to do by the DM.

He runs an Eberron podcast and as a Christmas gift he wanted me to draw his DnD party, starting with the Changeling Shadow Sorcerer.

The guy had a pretty badass backstory that involved his eye getting gouged out and having the eye replaced by an obsidian orb, which serves as his arcane focus.

I had way too much fun drawing this and it may or may not be because he’s a Changeling *cough*

Finally came up with a fairly simple design for Marfa.

She is adorable and precious and I love her.

The 2nd party member of a group commission I’ve been hired to do. A member of the Kundarak family from Eberron. The client wanted me to show off the mark of warding on his forearm.

He is a Dwarven Forge Cleric of Onatar.

Also full disclosure, I did trace his dragonmark. You couldn’t pay me enough to freehand that, tbh, as cool as the dragonmarks look, lol.

Drew up Kai in all his glory.

Well, as glorious as you can get, being an assassin and all...

He may or may not be very relevant to the campaign soon, as in this timeline where Nox never died, Kai fucking hates Nox’s guts, and beat the shit out of him when he found out that Ash and Nox risked their lives to get some stuff from the Mournlands, and were tossed in jail over unsettled debt to House Cannith shortly thereafter.

He also left Ash a cryptic message, which she does not know the meaning of even though Kai said she’d appreciate it.

So yeeeeeah. We may have another major Villain on our hands. Oops.

This is Ash’s cat familiar, Doppel. He appeared right around the time Ash developed her Chameleon powers in the form of a dream, and decided to follow Ash because he finds her very interesting.

If Ash needs a verbal kick in the ass, then he usually appears in her dreams and gives some cryptic advice. The last time he did this, he expressed his satisfaction in the way Ash used the gifts he had given her and the party (Ash’s Chameleon powers, The Deck of Many Things, and more recently, a Dragon scale that could very well make dragon battles much easier if we find a way to charge it with magical power.) So as something of a reward, Doppel allowed Ash to ask any one question. So she asked who Doppel really was.

As it turns out, Doppel is the “Giver of Gifts,” AKA The Traveler-- One of the Dark Six, but Chaotic Neutral. The patron saint of change and a deity that many Changelings, Doppelgangers and Shifters worship. Ash has never cared for religion and even has a slight disdain for it (Being a rebellious teenager in a religious country will do that, lol) so it’s particularly ironic that she managed to get his attention.

so today was session zero for my husband’s local campaign

everyone meet Marfa Verdanthicket, a wood elf druid who’s a socially awkward dork because she aged out of the orphanage she was in (legally speaking at least, she’s still VERY VERY YOUNG for an elf, being 19 and all) and was basically forced out to do her own thing.

Thankfully though two of the party members decided to take her under her wing... so we’ll see how that goes once the campaign gets going.
