Anyway...

Here's some interesting little tidbits about the drawings:

I wanted the six initial drawings to looks like they'd be from a fun little book. I hope I did that concept justice :D

In the fourth's one's image description, it notes that she's singing a song from Epic the Musical. She is specifically singing "No Longer You", with the notes corresponding to the first line of the song: "I am the prophet with the answers you seek".

Trying to design Dahlia (Dark Nephlia) was difficult, but the worst part was trying to find a color for her. I still adore her, though <3

I have a version of the first "lore" drawing in the same style of the illustrations. I decided to color it, instead, as I really wanted to get Nephlia's actual colors down.

* Trying to figure out the color of her lashes was awful. I went through at least three different colors before settling on yellow.

If I did a story with her with art, I think the best format would be an ask blog. I don't know if I can do that, so I'll just do random funnies with her here.

After listening to Annapantsu's cover of "Lovefool", I am convinced that Nephlia would only interact with her lack of attraction to men through the fantasy of chasing a man who would never love her back. Because if fictional men aren't attracted to her, why would any real men be?

🧃 (Juicebox) - What species are they? What’s their biology and physiology like? Do they differ in any way from a ‘typical’ member of their species?

She's the same species as Taranza (spider-insect-thing)!

... Well, she's supposed to be.

When one makes wishes, it comes at a price. You can't make something out of nothing, after all!

But... When one is presented without a sacrifice...

You can always use a substitute. As long as it's alive, it should work!

In the end, Nephlia is a non-biological being's attempt at making a Totally Normal Creature with its given resources. So she's a mish-mash of Things in a very convincing meat suit :D
