So, I decided to draw those really cheesy masks from the TNG "Masks" episode, Quark wearing a Phantom of the Opera style mask, and Mardi Gras costumes from this fic. Enjoy...?

Title: Running on Empty Author: @neptune-flytrap Ratings/warnings: G / None Summary: As Odo struggles to adapt to his new body, Quark helps him the best he can. Word count: 2,924
Author comments: This is a project I started and dropped this past January. At the time I estimated I was around 70-80% done, and was certain I was going to finish it soon since it was so close to completion. That did not happen, lol. As time went on, I lost all motivation to finish it, and it probably would have remained in my WIP graveyard if not for this event. I ended up fluffing the story a bit, so while my original estimate of the fic being 70-80% done was probably accurate for how I originally envisioned it, I ended up at least doubling my word count once I picked the story back up again for Quo-do The Thing. I'm happy with how it turned out, and hope y'all enjoy it too!
6 and 29 for the Artist Ask Meme!
6. favorite thing to draw?
I don't know if I have a favorite subject or specific thing I like to draw, but my favorite part when drawing a person is drawing their eyes, probably followed by drawing their hands. Kind of counter to the stereotype of artists, I LOVE drawing hands. (Feet, on the other hand, can fuck right off -- I can never get them to look right.)
29. do you use a lot of references while drawing?
It depends on the piece, but yeah, it's pretty typical for me to have at least a couple of references for a drawing -- mostly images of the character (especially if I haven't drawn them much before) and clothing refs or inspiration, sometimes a picture of the kind of vibe I'm going for in terms of colors/lighting, or pose refs if the pose is tricky.
The program I use (Krita) has some functionality for putting reference images right next to your canvas so you don't have to keep switching windows, but it requires having the images I need downloaded and it doesn't allow you to crop the reference image after you add it, so most of the time, it's easier to just have a Google image search tab open, which I refer to when I need it.
Thanks for the ask!
