Thank you for asking! I’m gonna go for Alena. 

7. Does your character have recurring themes in their nightmares? Mostly her mistakes. She has a lot of regrets from her childhood and she doesn’t know how to properly process them. So she represses it, and it comes back in her nightmares. 

Later in the show, after something happens to one of her loved ones, that event often replays in her nightmares.  23. What does your character dislike in other people?

It might be cliché, but judginess. A lot of people take her as she is in her first impression and never anything else, and it hasn’t gotten her much. She also dislikes people who lie to save others emotions. This partly comes from her own emotional constipation, but she’s often brutally honest with her opinions, even if in the moment it’s irrational. 

33. In the face of criticism, is your character defensive, self-deprecating, or willing to improve?

In the early series she’s defensive. She’s unused to being around people who pay attention to her, and she’s used to being blamed for things. Rumours spread in school, and she doesn’t want any more. 

After some ~character development~, she might be a  little snappy but she’s fully willing to improve.

For F&F: What is food like in your universe?

Same as food in ours! Asylumverse is our world but with monsters, and a few extra planes (that you can’t prove aren’t already here in our world anyways but I digress). The only difference in Faery is that things are brighter, richer, fuller, more vibrant and intense. People in the know use spices from Faery to give their food that little “just something special about it”, because faery spices touch the soul as well as the palate.

Happy Storyteller Saturday! If your WIP's cast could change anything about themselves (physical, mental, or their history) what would it be?

Lia doesn’t think she’s pretty enough, but if you made her sit down and list the ways she’d change, I don’t think she could actually name anything. It’s more mental than anything. She’s intimated by all the faery glamour around her I think.

Gil is learning to see himself the way the rest of the house does, which is a beef cake boy next door red headed freckly cap america XD I think if he would change anything, it would probably just be stabilizing his elemental nature (which he could do if he’d just work with it but ah gil)

Tybee changes whatever he wants to, whenever he wants to, because glamour.
