So today I had to listen to an asshole spouting off about how the new Star Trek sucks and how chris pine is too young to be Kirk, and that he is so much more of a fan because he's watched all of the series. Nerd supremacy needs to cease being a thing that happens. It doesn't matter if you buy lots of merch or you don't, wether or not you've watched/read the whole canonical set of books or episodes. It's just so depressing to me that some people think this is okay, that because someone has only seen the JJ Abrams Star Trek means they're not allowed to call themselves a fan.
