So the new TMNT trailer just dropped this week and the child in me HAD to do something to celebrate it. Ive watched it an embarrassing number of times and have tortured all of my friends to sitting and watching it with me at least once. Lol(im so sorry im so annoying. It was just so good and I'm just so excited 🫣😅😭) Anyone who knows me, knows I'm a big ninja turtle fan. One of my friends got me a Leonardo beanie that I wear everyday and everywhere. And I WISH I had a turtle shell backpack...I mean can you imagine how awesome that would be?!? Something Noone knows about me is way back in grade school when I was first learning how to draw, I had a "how to draw Garfield" book. It inspired me to start drawing. And of course I made my first comic series "super turtle". A normal everyday turtle just minding his business, when he gets hit by a canister of "super ooze". He had a cape and a sign on his chest (I can't remember if it was just "T" or if it was "ST"). He could fly and fight crime. There were future comics where there were new kinds of ooze and he would have different forms like "ultra turtle"(I'll be honest I cannot for the life of me remember what the other forms were. Lol). Cristina Vee Since I'm going to attempt to take it easy on my arm tomorrow, I decided to let you guys get a glimpse of how I practice behind the scenes. After each day in my lessons I try to do 5-10 pages of practice on what we learned. Today was spheres from the previous day. And I still try to make time for daily shading practice and gesture drawings. When I complete a full lesson or the entire "week"(sometimes they are 7 days and sometimes they are more but it's still counted as a week), I start over from day one before I start the next week of lessons. And yes I still have personal projects coming up(and life and adulting stuff). I still have my 250 box challenge coming up(I'm totally procrastinating, I can't even lie. Lol). And I do want to try the 100 faces in 10 days challenge, sometime this year. Will it be done in 10 days? Probably not. Blarg!!!(or whatever sounds monsters make) My latest and largest piece to date is finally done. As i warned, not everything i make is cute and cuddly, sometimes it has lots on tentacles and many eyes( "Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn") What started as a lunch doodle, ended up being a 4 days long endeavor. I took everything I've learned so far and applied it to this piece. Inking over 90% of it with my dip pen, I also used a brush pen for some larger areas. I still have a ways to go, but it kinda looks like it could be in a professional comic/manga. Starting from a rough sketch, to a refined sketch and finally 2 days work of inking and rendering. I can finally sit down and play some bloodborne. Might take a break tomorrow as I prepare for my 250 box challenge and chapter 3 of my drawing camp...I didn't expect to get this side tracked. I thought today was gonna be the slow relaxing day of my vacation since I didn't have any packages coming in, but I was wrong. Lol. I got arabella's room mostly done. Cleaned out a good chunk of the living room and reorganized my little pantry area. Played some spiderman. Arabella's mom showed me a picture of our daughter trying to write her name. I'm so proud of her. Found out my friends daughter was back in the hospital. So I went to go see her. Thought it was a sprain, but turned out it was just a little brusied. Got to say hi to my friends/coworkers. Played d&d. Fought some harpies. Tried out a new spell, that I didn't think was going to work. Rolled 2 nat 1s in a row. Did not get to download new music like I thought I would today. My friend David was able to pick up an amazing trashcan. I was looking for one like my bathroom that opened when you waved(I just thought it was a cool feature) but he found an amazing looking one, that was more practical. And I'll set that up tomorrow. Oh! And I found an Amazon gift card,I was given for my birthday in my car, so I now have more money to order stuff! Lol.
