Arthur was sitting on the couch, nails dug deep into his skin. He scratched hard, leaving dark marks as dark memories resurfaced, echoing in the small ghost’s head and leaving him in a panic attack. Nightmares suck ass, especially with past traumas ready to haunt your ass (ha.) His father, the cave, his own death.
That left a mark upon his awakening, the blond’s constant scratching causing a small spark of pain- a strong reminder that he is in control of his own body again. No lack of touch, vision, hearing. He’s ok now, everything is ok. That still doesn’t stop the tears from falling or the lingering fear that settled deep into his core. Guess there’s no more resting tonight.
Vivi was hardly a light sleeper. Considering how loud her neighbors were, it was kind of a requirement that she be able to sleep through blaring music at two am, or a random screaming match at midnight. ( though thankfully those were rare ) Tonight though... well, she’d never fallen asleep in the first place.
It wasn’t for any sinister reason - she’d just been hit with the urge to play Pokemon, and by the time she glanced up from her ds screen it was officially stupidly late and she was thirsty as heck. She quietly stumbled from her room, doing her best to not wake up the little spook she’d invited over for a sleepover.
Apparently she didn’t have to worry about that, since he was already on the couch, scratching up his arms and staring at nothing. Well, if she’d been feeling sleepy before she sure wasn’t now.
Forgetting her thirst, Vivi slowly slid onto the couch next to him.Her instincts screamed at her to wrap him up in a hug - but she’d ( finally ) learned that it was better to not surprise the electric ghost. Hugs could wait until he knew she was there.
“...rough night?” She opened her arms invitingly, “Need a hug?”
