Live Like A Sim
One of my greatest pleasures is playing a slow, thoughtful game of Sims 4. Letting my Sims follow their whims leads to happy gameplay. I often let the Sims mill about in their happy worlds while encouraging them to complete their aspirations. My Sims live in a $350k home, are experienced gardeners and fishermen, and have 1.5 million Simoleons (currency in the game). My Sim children are accomplished musicians and scientists. With the Sims, the sky’s the limit.
I got to thinking. What if I encouraged my real life self to achieve aspirations? I have decided to document my experiences of this to keep myself accountable when the tasks are difficult to achieve. Because I have a natural inclination towards being a bookworm, I have chosen to follow the Sim’s Knowledge aspiration as my first. Sim character “Marge” is following the same track and I will be updating her progress as well. So far, she isn’t super cooperative. She’s way more interested in swimming laps in the pool with her roommates Maggie and Nikki.
The first step in the “Nerd Brain” achievement requires Marge to finish reading three books and achieve Level 3 in logic skills. Currently, I’ve read 2 books IRL and am well on my way to finishing the third. Book reviews coming soon!
I look forward to embarking on this journey and hope to inspire others to live like a Sim and live your best life too!
