Spyro Dream
With all of this Spyro talk as of late, I randomly remembered a dream I had about the game when I was a kid. I had been playing Ripto's Rage after being home sick from school and had finally gotten to Autumn Plains. I think I was 11 or 12 at the time and was determined to 100% the game. I looked EVERYWHERE for the hidden orbs in that home world and couldn't find them whatsoever. That night I went to bed and ended up having a dream about a crack in the wall in Autumn Plains past the Magma Cone level. When I woke up in the morning I started back up my game and went to the area I saw in the dream and sure enough there was a crack in the wall I could break with Spyro's charge attack and it took me to a whirlwind that transported me to an upper level of the castle I had never been to before.
I was enamored, because you could see all of Autumn Plains from up here including an island off in the distance.
I took a leap of faith and glided over to find an orb!
I couldn't believe it and flew to a part of the level’s wall I hadn't been to before.
I decided to explore the wall and followed it to the edge of the castle where I found ANOTHER mysterious crack.
I wondered, could it possibly be the other hidden orb? I charged the wall and sure enough, I found not only 1 but the 2 hidden orbs in Autumn Plains that I couldn’t find the day before.
Needless to say, I felt pretty accomplished as a kid, all thanks to a pretty weird yet helpful dream I had the night before.
