Historic Buildings in Downtown Portland Tour - Part I
This year I plan to do more. I want to see more. I want to make more. I want to experience more. The beginning of this year has really got me inspired to get going.
To get the ball rolling on this awesome year, today my bestie and I set out on foot! We are both kind of nerds, shamelessly, and while flying our nerd flag we ventured out on our very own self guided walking tour of the historical buildings in downtown Portland.
Hoorah!
It was great fun as well as being very educational. Portland, aside from being beautiful, also houses some very old and stunning pieces of architecture.
Here are a few of my favorites from today's tour.
The Portland Building. Postmodern Style. Built in 1982.
Sixth Church of Christ Scientist. Art Deco. Built in 1931.
City Hall. Italian Renaissance. Built in 1894.
Due to the fact that there are 65 places to visit on the tour, we were only able to conquer 24 of them today. In the upcoming weeks we will attempt the rest of our adventure. I can't wait!
