I'm minding my own damn business, listening to Gerard Way being interviewed by Thomas Violence for Trashclub Stevens
and i know this, i know Gerard is neck deep in some nerd ass stuff, ive known this since MCR, and i dug the old horror films and comic art and stuff and i didnt touch the deeper, closet-worthy stuff
but near the beginning, these motherfuckers start talking about dungon masters and models from different games and seasonal versions of the game or what the fuck, and ive stopped doing what i was doing, i stone stare my computer while these guys trade their opinions on how to play a table top fucking game since they were teens and im like...
this is the moment i stopped relating to Gerard Way, altogether
danielleoshots replied to your post “So another fun music question, after seeing that sweet record player...”
Do you remember in the 90s (I know you do) when it was like "everything sounds so much better on vinyl" and there was that whole anti-cd thing and people really judging them and it was like, so uncool to buy a cd? It was SO 90s. I loved/love it.
Hahahahaha I knooooow. When CDs came out everyone was like "THE FUTURE IS NOOOOWWWWWW WHERE'S MY FLYING CAR THE SOUND IS SO CRISP LISTEN TO IIIIT" and then in the mid-to-late 90's to the early 2000's it was like "VINYL SOUNDS BETTER ANALOG FOREVS MAKE ME A MIXTAPE".
People who have a lot of records are basically just big nerds. It's so subjective. But I feel like any physical music is almost totally decorative at this point? We're all so neck deep in portable digital music. So if you're talking aesthetics, vinyl wins every time.
i would date the fuck out of Richard Ayoade he is just my kind of nerd
Saw some nerd reading manga on his tablet in the train this morning Didn't get a chance to ask him what app that was
I knew I was in the right place for my “Literature and the Culture of Cyberspace” class when I saw a guy sitting outside the classroom reading a comic book who then also pulled out a 3ds and a ps vita and was playing games on both
why the hell did i only think to make wiz's candy NERDS when he's basically going to be restrained from trickster antics?? ridiculous.
and today i just walked into a room of nerds, yelled out "WHO WANTS TO SEE THE WORLD'S END WITH ME?" and promptly found two takers.
and that's how that went down. we're friends now. BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT THESE FILMS DO. THEY MAKE FRIENDSHIP HAPPEN.
