What I still can’t wrap my head around because it’s so fucking powerful is that Lydia KNEW SOMETHING WAS OFF at the end of 6x01. LIKE FUCK EVERYTHING ABOUT STILES WAS ERASED. He simply didn’t exist. He is nothing. He is nowhere. He’s not alive. The train station was probably a sort of purgatory.
AND YET
Lydia knew. She felt it. Even though people declared her feeling as a hopeless case, she knew she was right. Because her and Stiles have such a strong bond, are so intertwined, have had so many moments and memories starting from a Molotoc cocktail to him saying HE LOVES HER. My heart still aches at that.
“Remember I love you.” Don’t remember any information that might help you solve this case or something. He needed to say this, to get through whatever was going to happen. Stiles was ready to die. He needed her to know. How tragical and bittersweet and romantic and UGH.
AND SHE REMEMBERS IT. F U C K
AND NOT ONLY THAT
HER VOICE FUCKING BRINGS HIM THROUGH SPACE AND TIME, THORUGH DIMENSIONS, GETS HIM BETWEEN THE LINES OF LIFE AND DEATH. Her voice, which easilt could’ve been an illusion, came through dimensions. And he heard it and trusted it immediately because it’s Lydia, and he trusts her enough to go through a portal that a day ago disintegrated someone. That’s how much he loves her. That’s how desperate he was to see her again, because he loves her, like a soldier coming back from the war.
Their love runs deep and is infinite. Don’t even try to convince me they hadn’t spent every minute together before Stiles had to leave for the pre-FBI training thingy.
Don’t even get me started on the hiatus between 5b and 6a. HE WOKE HER UP I THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT TWICE A WEEK TO GO MONSTERHUNTING. THEM ALONE IN HIS NOSTALGIC CAR TALKING. SPARKS H A P P E N E D. YOU AN BET ON MY DOG THERE WERE AT LEAST TWO ALMOST KISSES AND THAT HIS CHEEK KISS IS A REFERENCE TO ONE OF THOSE NIGHTS
