What made you first ship them?

like come on now. they knew what they were doing.

“they’re equals but girl can beat boy up and boy is into it” is my favourite het trope in general, but then jinu sees rumi’s patterns and instinctively helps her cover them up even when he doesn’t know her because he gets the shame of it and the need to hide and they’ve barely exchanged two sentences this whole time? sold. done.

give me two characters who understand each other intrinsically in a way no one else has or will and i’ll be there and seated, trust.

Biggest in-universe supporter of the ship?

lowkey zoey. she would try to be distrustful and wary of jinu at first but she'd warm up to him despite herself, especially when she sees how happy rumi is with him and that he makes her feel comfortable and safe.

Who makes the bigger romantic gestures?

mr i'll-throw-myself-in-front-of-a-giant-demon-fireball-for-you jinu himself, for sure.

7. Who do each of them tell first about the relationship?

Zuko tells Iroh first. I feel like that's a given. That's his father. His closest friend after his uncle is Sokka, who is Katara's brother, and he does not want to have that conversation with him. Also, Iroh already suspected and Zuko knew he suspected. He wasn't so much delivering the news to Iroh as he was confirming what Iroh already knew.

Katara, ironically, tells Sokka first. I don't think she meant to, though. I think she probably wanted to tell Suki or Kanna first, but Sokka says something annoying about Katara's love life one day, and she just kind of blurts it out. Sokka is surprisingly cool about it. He has his reaction, of course, but in the end, he trusts Zuko's intentions and he loves them both. He's the first they tell when they get engaged, and he's thrilled he's finally getting a brother, officially.
