Sometimes I break. More often that I would like. Sometimes I stare at myself on the mirror and I hate what I see. Sometimes it's just so difficult. Sometimes it's only darkness. Usually it's my brother that keeps me from giving up. He comes visiting more often when he senses I am not ok. He looks at me. Talk to me he says, but I never say anything. It's hard, to talk. But then, I keep fighting. I will forever love Jared for this campaign. It means a lot to me. He gives me hope.
Breaking is part of the daily fight, i think. it happens to all of us, and it’s just natural. The part when you say that even though, you keep fighting, that’s what makes you strong, and remember this.
I am glad to hear you are close to your brother. you would be surprised of how talking can help. but you know, sometimes you can just be honest and tell him what you need (’tell me something good about me because i feel like i can’t see it now’ ‘can you just hug me?’ ‘can you make me a cup of sweet tea and drink with me in silence’ ?.... whatever you need) telling the people close to us what we really need from them can help us so much, and it also helps them feel better since they can actually help.
I wish you lots of good days, of self love and sun and self care.
I wish for you to remember the good and the wins in hard times, and that over time, those will be less and less.
you are incredible. remember that.
Hey! This is the nerf gun anon. You said let you know when I'm 2 years clean. And that day is today. So just letting us know, I'm 19, in college and I've been clean for 2 years today. I'm insanely proud, and to everyone out there, you guys can do it. This feeling is amazing, keep going. Stay strong. And Always. Keep. Fighting.
Nonny! I am so so SO PROUD OF YOU! you are amazing. keeping clean for two years (TWO YEARS) isn’t easy, and you did it.
