So, working on writing something that's for my own personal reasons and pleasure. Here's a snippit from part of it, and opinions would be awesome.
"...The Elders, named so because they had simply been around since the beginning of time. When the goddess had first breathed life into the first beings. She had created the realms, and the creatures that lived there. She had taken up soil, and breathed life into it's fertile body. Thus, the first human was created. But the humans were lonely, and she saw this. She cared for her children very much, and so she took up air, gave it life to create birds. She took the clay and brought it into being as animals of all sorts. Yet the humans were still lonely. These new beings could speak, yes, but the humans could not understand them.
The goddess came forth one last time, and took light into her hand. She breathed life into the light, and the first fae were created. The fae and humans lived in peace for a time, but slowly disagreements and war broke out between the races. Because of their magic, the humans grew jealous of the fae, and turned against them. Despite their magic, the fae were beaten out of the above world. As any mother would, the goddess still loved all of her children greatly, and seeing them fighting and killing each other hurt her deeply. She took gentle action, and gave the fae the shadows. These shadows became part of the fae magic, because that's what light does. Light creates shadows and moves them and warps them and can turn them into something they're not. They created a world of their own, and lived separately from the humans until they were forgotten..."
*Feels stupid as mess but knows that she'll never get anything done if she doesn't show it to SOMEONE and ask for constructive crit*
So uh....is it horrible? Stupid? Should I delete it altogether and not write ever again? *hides*
