That's right, reverse adrienette except not. Adrien falls for Marinette instead since her Ladybug-ness shines much more as a civilian now.

Marinette, being her usual overthinking self, can't just pursue Adrien again OBVIOUSLY. She has to slowly build a close friendship first while also trying to figure out how her universe's Adrien fell for her in the first place!

Hihi! Yet another miraculous au ik 😝 Artstyle inspired by Paperteeth (peak)! This is a test-comic so I'll be adjusting things, but I like how fast I can color in this style.

This is the summary in my notes: Kwamis can sense their original owners reincarnated. Thats how fu knows who to give the miraculous to. Instead of ladybug being the leader, she's simply part of a team. One thing though: marinette knows she's in the wrong universe. Suddenly, it's the first day of school again and she's no longer guardian. But instead of questioning it, a little voice in her head tells her, "it's not your problem anymore."

TL;DR: Miraculous team au I can project my headcanons onto, but also the original Marinette is there and she knows she's in the wrong universe. An au NESTED within an au.

We really need more fan content where Adrien thinks of himself as the most boring person alive despite being rich and famous while seeing Marinette (as well as the rest of his friends) as the most impressive and awesome people on Earth.

Nested AU Chat Noir ^^

I need to draw everyone in full-body so I have something to reference. But it's also so hard trying to make interesting designs while also keeping in mind I'd have to constantly draw them in comics 😭

So I noticed you said reverse adrienette, but not really. I’m curious to see how that works out, like Marinette being “He doesn’t love me yet” because of the whole future thing, and Adrien is just “There’s no way she could ever love me” and it’s just … yeah

Firstly, thank you so much 🫶🫶! Honestly I didn't expect my silly au would even reach many people, so I'm beyond delighted to know yall like it!

-first few days in this universe vs now-

I should also admit I haven't watched the new season and was barely paying attention past season 4. I originally wrote in my notes that "Original Marinette" meant right after season 3. I only changed it on the whim to some time during season 5 (before Marinette learns Adrien's a sentibeing and his dad is Monarch) because I thought it'd be funny if Marinette was actively sabotaging her chances ONCE AGAIN because of her overthinking, overthinking from trying NOT to mess up their relationship.

(ANYWAY)

Due to craazy circumstances (not my fault btw) (lie) Adrien is extra angsty. This also plays a big part in why his self-esteem is so low he doesn't do much about his feelings for Marinette. CHAT NOIR on the other hand, that's a different story. It's getting closer to Adrien that makes Marinette realize this isn't HER Adrien.

It's not that Marinette doesn't like Adrien if he's going through something different. It's just a bit weird for her to actively pursue him since this isn't her Adrien. This isn't her life.

She can't help but still like him, but you know.
