Just when I didn't think I could love Cassian and Nesta any more than I do, I hit chapter 50. It's absolutely insane to relate to her so much.

Each of the sisters have different types of mating bonds:

Rhys and Feyre- every possible bond out there

Nesta and Cassian- normal mating bond and very physical

Elain and Az- whatever bond that over powers traditional one; Elain might have a corrupt cauldron one with Lucien or a traditional one that is like his mother’s without passion. I suppose Az could have one with Gwyn but probably it’s more of a friendship bond than romantic?

The last thing I want is to get involved in this Elriel/Gwynriel/Elucien/whatever war, but I can’t be the only one that finds the whole “three brothers with three sisters” idea weirdly incest-y? I was even uncomfortable with it when it was Cassian first flirting with Nesta. Honestly, I thought we’d see him with Emerie after ACOFAS but obviously that’s not happening.

I know Rhys, Cas and Az are not blood brothers, and the situation wouldn’t be incestuous even if they were. But would it not just be awkward? Admittedly, I don’t have a sibling, so I wouldn’t really know.

I don’t even have a particular preference in who Azriel ends up with. I like the idea of him and Gwyn, but I wouldn’t be crushed if they didn’t happen. I’d think he and Elain would be adorable too, if not for this whole thing. I’d be just as happy to see him end up with someone we haven’t even met yet, or with no one at all for the time being. A relationship isn’t the end all, be all. I’m really not looking to fight with anyone here.

I get it - it’s not real. They’re just characters. But I can’t be alone in this?

Cassian offered up his hand. Swallowed once. He was nervous. This male who had faced down enemy armies, who had battled to the brink of death more times than she cared to count, who had fought so many dangers it was a miracle he lived … he was nervous. It softened some crucial piece of her, and Nesta slipped her hand into his, their calluses rasping against each other. His hand slid around her waist, so large it spanned nearly halfway across. She gathered her skirts, and lifted her gaze to his. Nesta fell back a step, leading him, them, into the dance, and Cassian went with her. He was not graceful like Eris. He did not instinctively move to each beat like she did. But he kept up, willing to follow her into the music, into the sound and the movement, and his eyes did not, would not, leave her face. Their steps quickened, and Cassian found his rhythm. He spun her, and she whipped herself around, his arms waiting to catch her. His hand on her waist tightened, his only warning as he launched them further, faster into the music. Cassian smiled at her, and the world faded away. The music was no longer the most beautiful thing in existence. He was. Nesta couldn’t stop it then. The answering smile that bloomed through her at last, stealing across her face, bright as the dawn.

I don’t think I’ve ever written fic for a book fandom that isn’t harry potter (and for that I’ve only ever written marauders era shit) but I just finished the latest ACOTAR book and I have so many fic ideas there are so many missed opportunities and fix-its I wanna write lol

but I’m also mildly afraid of the acotar fandom I only ever write 6k word fluffy, half-jokey oneshots and the people in the fandom are churning out 400k word masterpiece canon divergence fics do people even WANT silly little fluffy fics?? help
