Great job Rookie Divisions in the 2017 Winter Games shooting league! Here are some highlights of those final matches that closed out this year's league:
Prone Air Rifle Rookie Red Laney Lee finished the league at the top with a top score of 187 in week 2. Melanie Laflin was second, shooting a 176 in week 3 as her highest score for the league. Third place was claimed by Cadence Zellmer who shot a high score of 170 in week 3. Both Maximillian Montowski and Elliot Miller-Rhees found their best marks in week 1, shooting 144 and 145 respectively.
Blue Beau Henneman had by far the best day in week 1, shooting a 141, which was also the best score of the group. William Ames came in second with a strong last two weeks, the best of which was a 131 score in week 4. Hunter Godgson took third place, starting out best in week 1, shooting a 110. Dawson Housworth also shot his high score in week 1, a 108 and Natalie Housworth had a terrific week 2 score of 123.
White Leading the group, Cole Schneider's week 1 score of 101 was his best. Emma Miller-Rhees had a great day in week 1, just behind Cole with a score of 100. Miles Housworth, in third, made his best marks in week 2, shooting a 97. Asher Greenhagen had a great week 2 score of 104 for his league high and Emily Hodgson's climbed steadily week after week to accomplish her best score of 78 in week 4.
Standing Air Rifle Rookie Frank Ravenswood had a strong start. Both weeks 1 and 2 were his best, shooting 163 both times. He overcame adverse weather for a good portion of the league, while shooting outdoors. Jesse Clark found his sweet spot in the middle. In week 3, he shot a 122 and then followed it up with a 121 in week 4, showing nice advancement in just the few months since the Kick-Off League.
